The Line It Is Drawn #115 for 11/15/12. In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of DR. NO, it's James Bond week at TLIID! I chose the wonderful suggestion of James Bond vs. Ra's Al Ghul.

Yeah, I'm pretty proud of that pun. It didn't occur to me until I sat down to start laying out the piece. In my mind, this is now the explanation for how Bond turned from Connery into Lazenby.
Absolutely. I was blown away by Richard Moll's Two-Face in particular -- it somehow sounded almost exactly like the Two-Face voice I'd always heard in my head. And Kevin Conroy's Batman is like Sean Connery's Bond or Errol Flynn's Robin Hood -- Definitive.
Ra's would be a great Bond villain, I mean he even comes with his own femme fatale, and lethal henchman. I don't know if he would find James to be a worthy heir though... all the boozing and whoring makes him a little less honorable than good ole big ears.
Yeah, I originally was going to have an unconscious Bond being carried by Ubu, but decided him strapped to the table about to be lowered into the pit would be more fun.
Ra's really would make a fantastic Bond villain. He's got the right sort of global ambitions for it. I wonder what Ra's would call Bond, though. He always called Batman "Detective" but "Agent" just doesn't seem formal enough...
love it mate
