LIID 98: Star Trek/comic book Evil Universe mashup by johntrumbull LIID 98: Star Trek/comic book Evil Universe mashup by johntrumbull
The Line It Is Drawn #98 for 7/12/12: Comic Book characters mashed up with Star Trek! I took the suggestion of the Mirror Universe Kirk & Spock mashed up with the Crime Syndicate (an evil, parallel-universe version of the Justice League).

Lots of fun drawing the villains from "Mirror, Mirror" --my all-time favorite ST episode-- along with JLA artist's Mike Sekowsky's great designs for the Crime Syndicate! I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. I downloaded a whole mess of screencaps to draw the Mirror Universe uniforms as accurately as possible (I still forgot Capt. Kirk's phaser sidearm, though -- RATS!).

The face of Superwoman is modeled on ST guest star Marianna Hill (aka Dr. Helen Noel from "Dagger of the Mind"): [link]

Not only a fun idea, but you draw Mirror Universe Kirk better than almost anyone else!

This is terrific, but you know both sides are going to betray one another. :XD:

Yeah, I liked this suggestion. I'm a sucker for an evil parallel universe! :)

Ahhh so good.... All of calculating Spock is there, along with the evil Kirk's swagger.

Thanks, Nick! They're both fun to draw, but Shatner is a TOUGH likeness to even get in the ballpark for.
